AVALIAÇÃO DA LINGUAGEM DE SUJEITOS COM HISTÓRICO DE DESVIO FONOLÓGICO APÓS TERAPIA FONOLÓGICA

RESUMO

Purpose: to verify if there are differences in performance on phonological awareness abilities between an experimental group with a history of speech disorders after speech therapy, and a control group. Methods: eighteen individuals, nine in the experimental group and nine in the control group, participated in the study and were evaluated for phonological awareness abilities using the Metalinguistic Sequential Evaluation Instrument CONFIAS. Results: there were statistical significant differences in their performances on rhyme syllable activities identification, rhyme production, syllable exclusion, on total activities involving syllable and in the exclusion of phoneme activities, phonemes segmentation, phonemes transposition, on total phonemes activities and also, on total syllables and phonemes activities. Conclusions: even after speech therapy the experimental group showed lower performance in phonological awareness abilities.
