RESUMO

The present work has studied the application of the Methodology Six Sigma - Model DMAIC - for the Improvement in the Process in the Plant Engineering Area, at CaterpilIar Brazil Ltda, Piracicaba unit, S.P.; due to the recommendation of the Project Six Sigma wbich has sought the Improvement in Third Parties Management.. The application of the Methodology has been presenteei by means of case study, where the stages are demonstrated accomplished in each pbase of Model DMAIC application, to obtain an improvement of a process, through the mensuration before and after the implementations. The use of the Process Six Sigma increases the possibiJities of positive results they are reached. That is due its structuring, it has used in each phase several basic tools, focusing details; maJcing possible an analysis of the process, a basement for the taking of decision of changes animing at an improvement
