RESUMO

The aim of this study was to evaluate the passive fit of fixed implant supported prosthesis titanium frameworks using the cemented cylinder and laser welded cylinder techniques. Thus, in an edentulous mandibular arch, constructed with "chromium steel", five analogous were fixed, parallels, 10mm apart, center to center. Twenty master casts were obtained in dental stone type V (Exadur@ - Polidental). Above the casts where the implant replies were incorporated, the procedures of waxing were made. Twenty frameworks were made and cast in commercially pure titanium (Tritan@-Dentaurum, Pforzhein-Germany) and divided in two groups. In both of then "small canals" were made in the frameworks, that permitted the titanium cylinders fit. In the laser welded cylinders group, alI the samples were fixed with acrylic resin (Duralay@-Reliance Dental Co) and after laser welded. In the cemented cylinders group, only the central cylinder was fixed with acrylic resin and laser welded and the others were cemented with anaerobe resin (panavia F@ - Kuraray Co.). The interfaces evaluation and measurements were performed using a measurer microscope (Olympus-Japan) with O.OOO5mm of precision. The results were submitted to ANOV A and test F (p
