RESUMO

The objective of this work is to perform a theoretical and experimental analysis of the utilization of paraffin and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as propellants in a hybrid propulsion system. Initially, a chemical equilibrium code was written in MATLAB language to determine the propulsive characteristics of those propellants. Next, it was performed an analysis of the mass distribution of a multi-stage rocket intended, to launch a 20 kg nanosat into low Earth orbit, at 300 km altitude. Finally, a bench was built to evaluate catalysts used to decompose hydrogen peroxide and to evaluate the performance of hybrid motors.
