Analise de constituintes volateis de plantas aromaticas por micro-extração em fase solida acoplada a cromatografia gasosa (SPME/CG)

RESUMO
The objectives of this work were the optimization of a methodology using Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) for analysis of volatile compounds produced by aromatic plants, and the application of this methodology to real samples. The experiments showed that the best results were obtained using SPME fibers recovered with 100 mm polydimethylsiloxane and with the following operational parameters: sample temperature = 55°C, sample / headspace equilibration time = 30 min, extraction time = 20 min and sample solution ionic strength at 36 % NaCl. The method was applied to characterize the chromatographic profiles for the volatile compounds produced by Aloysia gratissima (Brazil lavender), Cymbopogun martinii (palmarosa), Mentha piperita var. citrata (peppermint), Mentha spicata (spearmint), Origanum vulgare (oreganum), Origanum applii (oreganum), Ocimum basilicum (basil) and Ocimum gratissimum. The methodology was also employed for the quantification of the main volatile components of Cymbopogun martinii, and the results were compared to the conventional chromatographic analysis of the same sample. It is concluded that the developed SPME methodology may be used in routine analysis.
