Ambiente e produção agricola : principais paradigmas

RESUMO

The main purpose of the research was to identifiy the core interactions that occur/may occur in the agricultural production processes in their relations with nature, tying to look for the foundations that support dominant and emergent agrarian systems, exploring their possible alternatives, putting and interpreting them in a same context that involves simultaneously, agricultural and environment aspects. Two approaches were identified and considered important to be researched: a) one that aims to improve the present model, trough the adoption of advanced technologies derived from new scientific discoveries related with biotechnology/genetic engineering, informatics, microelectronics and telecommunications applied to agriculture, as modern agriculture, agrochemical agriculture, conventional agriculture, sustainable agriculture, agrobiotechnology and precision agriculture; and b) one that aims to face the present model and wishes to build an agricultural system that know and respect nature s limitations and complexity and establish self-limitations in. relation with environment, and is constituted by many denominations as: organic agriculture, ecological agriculture, natural agriculture, agroecology, biological agriculture, biodynamic agriculture, traditional agriculture, socially appropriated technology agriculture, permaculture, etc. As the fundamental question is the paradigm of men/nature relation established in the agricultural production process, compatibilizing or not agriculture with environment, indications about possible ways for each approach were analyzed, having as reference the state of São Paulo agriculture, because of it s academic and farmer s scientific/technological knowledge degree of evolution. It was also considered the interaction of clients consumers, citizens, State and transnational companies in this scenery
