RESUMO

This study presents a characterization of speech, from 16 informants stratified by gender (female, male), age (up to 35 years and more than 50 years) and education (school and elementary education), residents of Paranhos, MS. In this research are two aspects of language, the phonetic phonological and lexical semantic. It is the hypothesis that both the linguistic factors as the extralinguistic influence or determine the condition linguistics. Data were collected from questionnaires that directed the interviews in locu, which were then, phonetically transcribed and coded to be bedded in the program Goldvarb 2001. To these interpretations, we used the methodology of the theory of linguistics and Variation Change (Labov, 1962). Then the data were analyzed quantitatively, showing the correlation between the variations of the groups investigated. Were described some lexical s own words speak for the community Paranhos. The results showed that variations in research on the phonetic phonological aspect, linguistic factors were more relevant to the influence of conditioning or linguistic variation of the factors that extralinguistic. Meanwhile, the lexical semantic point, the variable age was highlighted for such influence.
