RESUMO

The importance of the development of the phonological consciousness on the teachers job is a qualifying based study with critical dialectical approach. The aim is to conceive indicators to the teachers practice courses, considering linguistic knowledge from the standardization of an experience made with a group of teachers in a private school in Curitiba. It critically interprets the contributions of some authors that consider the knowledge production (Pozo, Chauí, Severino, Morin, Vasconcellos); about the necessity of continued teacher formation (Veiga, Martins, Romanowski, Ludke, Tardif); about the cognitive development and the language role (Piaget, Vygotsky, Luria, Yodovich, Bakthin); about alphabetization (Ferreiro, Teberosky, Freire, Soares, Kramer, Lemle, Kato, and others), about language mmetalinguistic function and about phonological consciousness (Cagliari, Maluf, Santos, Cardoso-Martins, Adams). The study was made with primary school teachers using the research methods of Grupo Focal. The content from the discussion, from the speeches and from the written registers, was widely explored through out this study, being aware of teachers teaching job, their background and their class practice. The analysis over the phonologic consciousness development on the alphabetization job and literacy, with essential and intentional practice, both together in the development of other abilities, which compound this process, indicates that there is a gap or little emphasis concerning these issues on the teachers practice courses. Moreover, the analysis over the initiatives that the primary school teachers are predicting with their students practice has leaded to positive results, having the support of a theory reference.
