RESUMO

The Present work describes the poetics that investigate representations of the Nativity scene nowadays at Chapada Diamantina, State of Bahia, emphasizing the process of making these Christmas sceneries. With a social-comprehensive approach, the object was investigated based on the aesthetics of the visible, coming to the imaginary of the subject to the creative action from oral investigations and the current elements of the studied sceneries. Theoretical approaches of authors such as Roland Barthes, Michel Maffesoli, Luigi Pareyson and Ítalo Calvino were adopted, for the treatment of the creative action as the modus operandi of the subject. Techniques of photography and video were used, as well as direct interviews and identification forms for the inventory of the objects, as means of collecting the necessary data for this researchs comprehension. The creative process concluded or configured in photography and installation happens from the photographical cuts I realize, focusing elements or composition wholes that surpass the religious structure, being, nevertheless, revealers of social and creed backgrounds inserted in the scenerys imaginary context. The installation Todos os Dias was based on this principle, in which I make an analogy between the mutilated figures used on Nativity sceneries and the children on the streets of the big urban centers, symbolized by the abandoned dolls found on our citys ways.
