RESUMO
The present study has the purpose to accomplish the approach between the basis of morality in Schopenhauer s philosophy and the buddhist moral notion. The first chapter brings the appreciations about the knowledge of the world in buddhism and in Schopenhauer s idea. Due to the presented informations, the second section presents the resemblances and dissimilarities between the concepts of commiseration and egoism in both ethics doctrines. Finally, the third chapter consummate the intersection of the nirvana buddhist notion with ascetism in the philosophy of Schopenhauer.
