RESUMO

Since the 1988 Constitution and the Psychiatric reform, Psychology has experienced difficulties of insertion into the new healthcare model based on the value of integrality. This insertion could occur by means of a matrix team and its corresponding Núcleo de Apoio a Saúde da Família (Family Health Support Center - NASF). The official space of the psychologist is established by them. The Matrix team is an organizational arrangement for health work, in which a team of specialists provides transvesal support to the units of reference and their users within their area of competence, with the aim of enabling new subjectivities and joint responsibility between those involved in the area served. It is a network of concepts based on three theoretical perspectives: the social production of historical facts; complexity; and subjectivity. The objective of this research, based on this theoretical and practical framework, is to study the practice of the psychologist in the Health Districts of Bairro Novo, Cajuru and Pinheirinho, in the Municipal District of Curitiba, based on the concept of matrixl teams. In particular, it identifies the perceptions and concepts of psychologists on the knowledge of matrix teams; describes the professional practice of psychologists and; describes the difficulties experienced by the psychologists in their professional practice, in the views of the matrix teams. To carry out this exploratory research, the methodological approach of descriptive analysis was used. The study population consisted of nine psychologists from the abovementioned districts. The sample was defined by repetition of data. The data were collected by means of semi-structured interviews, both with individuals and groups, and the recording and subsequent transcription of statements, for analysis of contents. The results indicate psychological practices which lack the necessary theoretical knowledge to support them; multifaceted actions coherent with postulates of the SUS, but without any guiding protocol; training which is heavily based on a biomedical model; difficulties such as: the existence of obstacles, the work process, a lack of training, contradictions of infrastructure which hinder practice from a perspective of matrix teams; requests for objective knowledge of disciplines from graduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology; and requests for subjective knowledge that go against the fundamental variable of autonomy of the mentor of the matrix teams. It is hoped that based on the knowledge acquired in this research, this will become a reference document that will enable universities and training centers to give new focus to their graduate and/or postgraduate courses in Psychology, in keeping with the principles of the SUS in general, and the psychiatric reform in particular. It is hoped that the municipal health services will reflect on the results presented here, and promote specialization courses for their employees, in the modality of matrix teams
