1. Cow’s milk allergy immunoglobulin E-mediated: intake of proteins and amino acids
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: Children with cow’s milk allergy may be at nutritional risk due to the lower intake of nutrients, such as protein, calcium, and vitamin A, which are present in cow’s milk. The objective was to evaluate children’s diets with Children with cow’s milk allergy compared with healthy controls as well as to compare the intake of proteins

2. Standardized ileal amino acid digestibility of plant-based feedstuffs and phytase supplementation in broiler chicken diets

3. Amino acid solutions on the growth of the ornamental plant Impatiens walleriana grown under root restriction stress

4. Shelf-life of loricariid catfish (Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus [Weber, 1991]) roe stored in ice
Abstract Loricariid catfish (Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus [Weber, 1991]) has invaded water catchments throughout the world, due to the lack of predators and high fecundity. An approach to control its population could be using its roe as food; however, more knowledge is needed. Thus, the present study aimed to evaluate the shelf-life of fresh loricariid catf

5. A novel mutation in PRKAR1A gene in a patient with Carney complex presenting with pituitary macroadenoma, acromegaly, Cushing's syndrome and recurrent atrial myxoma
SUMMARY Carney complex (CNC) is a rare syndrome of multiple endocrine and non-endocrine tumors. In this paper we present a 23-year-old Iranian woman with CNC who harbored a novel mutation (c.642dupT) in PRKAR1A gene. This patient presented with pituitary macroadenoma, acromegaly, recurrent atrial myxoma, Cushing's syndrome secondary to primary pigmented nodu

6. Synthesis, Hypoglycemic Effect, Antimicrobial and Molecular Docking Studies of Organotin(IV) Complexes Derived From N-Phthalimido β-Amino Acid Derivatives
N-Phthalimido β-amino acid derivatives, 3-phthalimido-3(2-hydroxyphenyl) propanoic acid (P2HPA) and 3-phthalimido-3(2-nitrophenyl) propanoic acid (P2NPA) with new series of di- and triorganotin(IV) complexes (1-12) have been designed and synthesized. All the ligands and organotin(IV) complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier transform infr

7. Use of Paper Spray Mass Spectrometry for Determining the Chemical Profile of Green Cavendish Banana (Musa AAA) Peel and Pulp Flours and Evaluation of Its Functional Potential
Green Cavendish banana peel and pulp flours were obtained by three drying methods: oven dryer at 70 °C; air fryer at 180 °C and domestic oven at 180 °C, being the latter two new possibilities. Bioactive constituents using paper spray ionization mass spectrometry (PS-MS), phenolic identification and quantification by ultra-performance liquid chromatography

9. IMIDAZOL E CATÁLISE: UM PAR PERFEITO
The imidazole (IMZ) ring presents several chemical properties that turns it into a versatile acid-basic/nucleophilic catalyst. The discovery of the biological properties of histidine (amino acid with IMZ ring) instigates the study of this class of compounds. It is found in nature in several enzymes such as chymotrypsin and RNAses due to these properties. Thi

10. Inhibition of Acetylcholinesterase by Coumarin-Linked Amino Acids Synthetized via Triazole Associated with Molecule Partition Coefficient
A previous study for the identification of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors demonstrated that the hybrid between tyrosol, the 1,2,3-triazole nucleus, and the coumarin group, namely 7-({1-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl}methoxy)-4-methyl-2H-chromen-2-one (10), has a high enzyme inhibitory activity. Here, we synthesized analogues of 10 v

11. Evaluation of the Direct Interaction between Amino Acids and Glutathione-Coated CdTe Quantum Dots and Application in Urinalysis for Histidine Determination
The present work aimed to direct amino acid (AA) sensing by quantum dots (QD) and development of an analytical method for potential fast clinical tests. Notably, AA with a positive charge or neutral polar chains, namely L-histidine (His) and L-threonine (Thr), responded to glutathione-coated CdTe (GSH-CdTe) (ΔF ≤ 90%, variation of fluorescence intensity).

12. Isolation and molecular characterization of Campylobacter jejuni from chicken and human stool samples in Egypt
Abstract Two hundred broiler chicken samples, 160 laying chicken samples and 75 human stool samples were collected in Egypt. The samples were microbiologically examined, and the C. jejuni isolates were confirmed biochemically and by PCR targeting the mapA gene of C. jejuni. The prevalence of the cadF virulence gene was then determined using PCR. A total of 1
