1. Brazilian generics market change after Farmácia Popular program
ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To evaluate trends in the use of generic and non-generic medicines to treat hypertension and diabetes under the Farmácia Popular Program (FP) and its impact on generic medicines sales volume and market share in the Brazilian pharmaceutical market. METHODS This longitudinal, retrospective study used interrupted time series design to anal

3. Bond between steel and concrete made with ceramic waste aggregate
Abstract The reduction of natural resources combined with a substantial increase in the generation of solid waste in large urban centers, justifies the search for methods of reusing the construction industry waste. The ceramic industry has a high disposal rate during the manufacturing, transportation and eventual replacement of its products. In this case, re

4. Technical viability of self-compacting concretes with by-products from crushed coarse aggregate production
Abstract The main objective of this work is to present the technical viability of Self Compacting Concretes (SCC) containing by-products from crushed coarse aggregate production. For this purpose, a vast characterization of these by-products was made; six mixtures of SCC were produced using two different aggregates: granite and mica schist. The binder/dry ag

5. Cost modelling of the product mix from mining operations using the activity-based costing approach
Abstract This work adds the Activity-Based Costing Approach in mining operations with a product mix. After analyzing and collecting data from an aggregate mine located in Brazil, a cost model was built, and from that, a cost management and analysis methodology of a mine in operation is created. This work has the innovation advantages of using ABC as a tool f

6. Doping technique in the interfacial transition zone between paste and lateritic aggregate for the production of structural concretes
This paper discusses the use of doping technique in the interfacial transition zone (ITZ) between Portland cement paste and lateritic aggregates with the objective of promoting the implementation of structural concrete. Doping technique consists of establishing the initial impregnation of the aggregate with a high performance paste in order to improve its bi

7. Ochratoxigenic fungi associated with green coffee beans (Coffea arabica L.) in conventional and organic cultivation in Brazil
The genera Aspergillus comprises species that produce mycotoxins such as aflatoxins, ochratoxins and patulin. These are cosmopolitan species, natural contaminants of agricultural products. In coffee grains, the most important Aspergillus species in terms of the risk of presenting mycotoxins belong to the genera Aspergillus Section Circumdati and Section Nigr

8. Utilização da cinza do bagaço da cana-de-açúcar como agregado miúdo em concretos para artefatos de infraestrutura urbana
Brazil is the main sugarcane world-producer and it is the leader in all segments (sugarcane, sugar and alcohol). The waste consisting of sugarcane bagasse is produced at the end of grinding process and it is used to generate energy through burning in boilers. At the end of burning, the ashes of bagasse are often thrown into environment improperly. In this co

9. Influência da adição de um fundente sintético no mecanismo de coloração final de revestimentos cerâmicos / The influence of the addition of a synthetic flow in the final color mechanism of ceramic tiles
The presence of iron oxide in ceramic tile mass contributes to the reddish color firing of the products leading to a lower aggregate value, not to be regarded as a "noble" ceramic. However, the use of raw materials with low levels of iron oxides (Fe2O3) is economically unfeasible in Brazil, since most of the deposits have iron compounds as mineral component.

10. Estudo do mecanismo de aderência de azulejos e argamassas de cal em revestimentos históricos / Study of the bond mechanism between glazed tiles and lime mortars in historic coatings
The historical glazed tiles facades are an important luso-brazilian cultural expression that must be conserved and preserved. The bonding loss of glazed tiles to laying mortars is one of the most critical pathologic manifestations of this kind of coating. However, despite this importance, there‟s still a lack of studies about the bonding mechanism betw

11. Experimental investigations on mode II fracture of concrete with crushed granite stone fine aggregate replacing sand
With a view to implement sustainability concepts (namely, use of locally available materials and industrial by-products) in the concrete construction industry, the possibility of use of crushed stone fine aggregate as replacement to river sand is explored in this paper. Towards this, tests have been carried out on concrete cubes and concrete cylinders. The e
