1. Computational Investigation on the Effects of Two-Way Wing Morphing Strategy in the Critical Mach Number
ABSTRACT: The elasto-flexible wing morphing is an advanced methodology to achieve higher lift-to-drag (L/D) ratio for the subsonic wing configurations at the given flow conditions. The present article describes mechanisms of continuous morphing of a swept back wing for achieving effective delay in the critical Mach number (Mcr) distribution over the wing sur

2. A CFD-based analysis of the 14-Bis aircraft aerodynamics and stability
Abstract The work reported in the present paper was performed to honor the centennial of the flight by Alberto Santos Dumont with his 14-Bis aircraft. The paper describes results for a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of the 14-Bis aircraft aerodynamics and flight stability. The 14-Bis aircraft geometry was generated from historical sources and ob

3. Projeto de um veículo aéreo não tripulado para pulverização aeroagrícola / Unmanned aerial vehicle design for agricultural aerial spraying
The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV s) have a variety of applications, wether monitoring of forest fires, power lines, traffic, crowds, but also can be used for aerial target military applications. Even though it is still somewhat restrict to civil application because of lack of regulation, such vehicles are being developed and studied in the academic sphere.

4. Preferred negative geotactic orientation in mobile cells: Tetrahymena results.
For the protozoan species Tetrahymena a series of airplane experiments are reported, which varied gravity as an active laboratory parameter and tested for corresponding changes in geotaxic orientation of single cells. The airplane achieved alternating periods of low (0.01 g) and high (1.8 g; g = 980 cm/s) gravity by flying repeated Keplerian parabolas. The e
